Hello Anida

My afrikaans is nie baie goed nie, so ek gaan verduidelik in engels, jammer !

The best thing to do is to check with your paed first before trying anything. What however did work for my kids when it came to upper respiratory infection was to nebulise them. I used the paediatric Duolin drops and this works really well to open up the chest. Cough mixtures should be avoided unless your paed prescribes them.

It's tough when you watch them suffer like that, but be rest assured there are safe ways and means to help them through it. Give your paed a quick call and ask what he/she thinks is the best thing to use.

Enige voorstelle...

Linktopent trek sy bors erger toe so veel so dat hy nie eens kan asemhaal of huil nie.

Enige RaaD word wardeer

Hi there mommies

My little angel, Aimee is 7 and a half months old and she has a terrible cold. Her nose is running and she struggles to breath especially while sleeping. Do you know of any meds that will help? She is not allergic to anything.

Thank you

Alfreda other than to chat to the paed not sure. I limited dairy so milk was fine but used soy yoghurt etc. It tends to cause phlem. Cut back on juice as the sugar can also irritate baby.

I just use saline nose spray. Thebe make a nice one with a gentle squirt.

Only use meds if doc prescirbes them at this age as some meds may dry her up which will cause congestion. xxx
