I think some babies just prefer short day naps.
My son has almost never slept for more than 30 min at a time during day naps. 45 min is considered a long nap
He's 10 months old now and just transitioned down to only 2 naps a day and they're STILL only 30 min each!
People talk about their kids taking 1-2 hour naps - I just quietly mumble "I wish" and carry on.
Some babies just take short naps.
If she's sleeping well at night then I wouldn't worry xx

thank you for the reply.

She went to the paed at 7 weeks for a check up. she did have a bit of a blocked nose and it hasnt really cleared properly. ive jsut been using saline which seems to help.
she sleeps really well at night - about 7 hours is her longest stretch.
So it might be the nose. im going to try get something for reflux and see if that helps!

Thank you so much!
i hope things get better soon

Hi There

Did you take her for a check up to see if she does not have a bit of reflux. Sometimes this keeps them out of their sleep. Best advise is to first take her for a check up to see if nothing is bothering her, ear infection, blocked nose, anything small.

My boy also slept like that when he was that small, but in the end nothing was wrong, he was just not a sleeping baby. Nothing to worry about. They all differ, if nothing is wrong and they are tired enough, they will definitely sleep.

So first take her for a check up to bring ease of mind to yourself.

Hello ladies,

I'm hoping I can get some advice :) !
I have a 2 and a half month old little girl. She won't sleep for more than a half an hour during the day, at a time.
I have started introducing her to formular for when I go back to work in a month. I use to give it to her at night, but switched it to during the day to see if it would make a different but it doesn't!
I've tried putting her back to sleep by rocking her, tried calming music, sitting in the room with her, a piece of my clothing in her cot. Not sure what to do anymore!
Please help! :)
Thanks xxx
