No haven't started doing the temping thing yet Gloei. I've been off the pill for 2 months now so am going onto my 3rd cycle in March. Still no positive O for me and if it's a short cycle well then I reckon there is a distinct possibility I am not ovulating. However it is my usual 28 I'm still in there with a chance although have not had my usual cervical changes that I usually get. What did your test say?
I remember when I stopped the pill about 2 years ago that the dr said that it can take a while for your body to return to normal again. I remember having terrible ovulation pains for the first 2 months after I stopped the pill. The doctor actually strongly advised against TTC for the first 2 months after stopping the pill. He said you can start trying in your 3rd cycle since the hormones are still in your body and actually can work against a pregnancy.
I just wanted to add the home-OPKs are not always accurate. I'm speaking from my own experience and my gynae confirmed it. According to the OPKs I used I NEVER ovulated. I tried different makes, both cheap and expensive. After I had tested every single day for an entire cycle and never had a +, AF stayed away and I called my doc in panic, thinking I was never gonna ovulate again (now I can laugh about it, but I was really in a state back then). Well, he called me in for a thorough check up and after finding nothing at all, he did a scan. What we saw will be turning 3 in July
@ Juno, when I stopped taking the pill my cycle lenghts went haywire for at least six months, only then I got back to a regular 30 day cycle.
