Hi Ladies, I just paged through some of the stuff here, and really had to laugh when I saw this topic. My boy is now 3 years and 4 months, and my word, much worse than the 2's !! He also talks very very well, but he is also at this stage where he talks like a baby all of a sudden, but now I see he stopped that nonsense with me and will only do it with his dad now. So yes, I think they go through all these stages ..... not easy being a parent. lol
carol: try this: worked with my daughter, but i have learnt what works with the one, NEVER works for the other...
tell him that you have a bug in your ear and that when he whines/cries/moans then bug opens his wings and you cant hear a thing, so if he speaks really nicely then the bug cant open his wings and you can help and hear everything he wants!!!
I breastfed my son until 21 months (I would probably have done it until 24 but I was pregnant and irritated and milk drying up).. but luckily he never got so demanding with his milkies. I think that would have driven me insane.
my boy is just as bad, can you believe that at 20 months he is still breastfeeding and the moment I walk through the door he will push me down until I am sitting, climb up my legs and sit on my laps, then he will fight with whatever I am wearing until he has access to his booboo. it is so irritating and annoying because he will breastfeed until he goes to sleep with regular 5 minutes breaks.
I swear that boy is abusing me and his father finds this so funny.
married for 3 years with 7 yr old daughter and 2yr old son.
@ Julz - ooooh ya when they want to do everything himself sometimes get on my nerves, but lately I just don't have the energy to argue, I just let them be. Megan went to bed the other night with a nappy, no pants, a vest, a pink shirt over that and her costume over that! And one of her favourite sayings now is NO MEGGIE MUST!
