BabyT - lucky you! I picked up the weight because I was eating non stop as it helped me feel better. Back to eating less now as that constant hunger and yukky feeling is gone. I also used to eat a low carb diet, ride my horse a lot and do pilates 2 or 3 tines a week. From about 7 weeks till 14 weeks I ate constantly, stopped riding and pilates as I would feel tired and sick in the evenings. All that has contributed to the 6 kg's I have picked up. I have been back at pilates for a month now and feel good, am going 3 times a week.

Cloth really is a great option. There are loads of different brands out there, most are imported. I am buying a full time pack from Bio-baba which are local and a good price. I will also buy some especially for newborns. There are quite a few options so you need to do some research to understand the pros and cons of them all. There are a few groups on Facebook which are nice to follow once u know the lingo. One group is for buy/trade/sell and I will buy some second hand ones from there for variety. I will just sell what I don't like once I have had the chance to use them.

Hubby is busy painting the nursery, we are getting there! I will start looking at cots etc soon too. Will try gumtree first as I have seen some nice ones there. Silly to buy brand new when one can find perfect second hand stuff for so much less.

Hello ladies

Had a bit of a hectic work week. Baby T you look great I can't even see a baby bump. I added a pic of the back brace that I use for my chair at work. I got it for R150 at Verimark. It really makes sitting a whole lot better.

As for the cloth nappy I must look into that, sounds like good investment, I am guessing it's also good for baby's bottom as well. Where do you get them @nix?

So far I have gained 2kg but the dietician says the weight gain does not all have to be at the beginning or the end it's different in most woman, there is no formula. She says pregnant woman should not be too hard on themselves. :silly: :silly:

I was thinking about cloth nappies as well, but I am sill speaking to people about their opinions, as I am not sure how it will work when you are out and about and how the cleaning works... I have however heard that nappy rash is substantially reduced when using cloth nappies.

I am soooo tired, hubby and I cleaned out our one room completely so make space for all the baby goods - flipping hard word! But luckily there is now enough space for baby  Now the fun pf getting the nurseryready can start.

Here is a pic of my bump.... Not as impressive as the rest of you ladies, picked up 1kg so far @ 15w6days, not sure when the average is?

Can't say I have felt any movement, perhaps some tiny feelings when I am lying very still but not sure...

Is anyone here considering using cloth nappies? I am going to buy some this week. I used them when j was working for a friend I few years ago. They were really easy to use, are cost effective and environmentally friendly. I am buying the same ones which are locally made as they worked well and just happen to have a sale atm. I am also going to get others brands as they say it's good to have a variety. There are many pros to using these instead of disposables or at least part time with disposables.

Hi Ladies,

Been a busy week, hope you are all well?

BabyT - thank goodness you and baby are ok!

I definitely look pregnant, even though there is a substantial amount of "padding" around there too :silly: I have picked up 6 kg's so far and am expecting to pick up a lot more. My mom picked up exactly 17 with me then my brother. She is a short 55kg lady and I am a tiny bit taller at 1.57m and started off at 59 kg's.

I think it's time for some bump pics!

BabyT - My joints have also been a bit stiff and sore lately! Especially when I've been sitting at my desk a long while and need to get up for one of the many bathroom breaks. I thought it was just because I'm not moving around enough, but found out today it's a common complaint. Really need to exercise more and wish I had before becoming pregnant. Your fitness will help a lot with some of the pregnancy niggles!

I swear I felt my first flutters a moment ago! Sat stretched out on the couch reading in absolute silence, and felt a tiny tap. Didn't think much of it, but then I focused my attention and felt a couple more in slightly different positions, but not far apart. Couldn't hold my excitement to wait for more and jumped up to go tell hubby :P Think I'd have to be perfectly still to notice them, so probably a while still before they are proper flutters.
