Religion ( ducks behind couch!)

This is tricky and I feel very much the way you do as to regards to religion.

My son goes to a school that is based on Christian principles. It is really hard to find a school that isn't. They do discuss Easter etc and they pray before the eat and I must say it doesn't bother me. We do not discuss religion at home or pray. Sometimes he prays at home when I give him his food and it is actually really sweet. If he chose a bible in the shop I may buy him one, reluctantly.

He is still young, but when the time comes and the questions come, I want him to understand that there are different religions and that he should be informed.

Okay - so I grew up in the 80s in a school where Christianity was the rule - my parents are areligious - I got very into religion - tried out churches etc and even studied it at varsity! However, I am pretty much agnostic now but with a spiritual bent. The daughter is now asking many questions about Jesus and religion and I don't know how to answer. I want her to be aware of all religions and when she's ready, choose one that meets her needs. The problem is that her Grade R teacher is very religious (Christian) and tells them about Jesus dying on the cross and the trinity and I don't want to contradict her in any way and cause hassels for the daughter at school if she brings it up. Is anyone else dealing with this? If so, how? Any advice would be appreciated!
