Hello Ladies,
@Cands those look so nunus, I am glad all went well with your scan.
@Babydreaming so sorry to hear that you still have the flu, I hope you are feeling much better. I do envy you on not having morning sickness, it is making me so miserable right now. With me it's the same as it was with my daughter, so sick:sick:
AFM I have been battling with a migraine since Wednesday (1st day at the new job, can you imagine?) until now, I am so miserable, can't even sleep at night. I find myself sitting up in the middle of the night and crying cause the pain is just unbearable. That time I am only allowed to take Panado which is doing absolutely nothing to me, I've already gone through 1 box. I really need it to stop or I am going to lose my mind. Nausea is still there but at this stage I feel like I can handle the nausea, I just need this headache to stop:cry:
I did tell my boss about the pregnancy *phew* he seemed ok, could really "read" him. However the company maternity leave policy says that you must have spend a year in the company to qualify for 4months of fully paid maternity leave, which is a bummer:( The Policy is silent on what happens when you haven't completed a year. He said he'll take it up with HR, so I guess I'll wait to hear how my maternity leave will be affected.
On a lighter and happier note, I went for my scan this morning and it went wonderfully. Dr said the headache could be due to low blood pressure, my bp measured quite low. Baby is looking really well and growing very fast, s/he measured 1 day older (i.e. 8w6d, as opposed to 8w5d), but Dr said it just shows s/he'll be a big baby. Heartbeat was at 166bpm, aahh man nothing beats hearing baba's heartbeat!
My next appointment is on the 31 Aug, at 12w5d, and that's the big scan as they'll be doing down syndrome and any chromosomal up-normalities tests, can't wait.
I hope you ladies are doing fine, wishing you all a lovely weekend.
