@bellyhearts: Ankylosing spondylitis (a.k.a. bamboo spine), or AS, is a form of arthritis that primarily affects the spine, although other joints can become involved, in my case my major joints & pelvis. AS causes inflammation of the spinal joints that leads to severe, chronic pain and discomfort. In more advanced cases this inflammation can lead to ankylosis or new bone forming in the spine, causing sections of the spine to fuse in a fixed, immobile position. The main feature of ankylosing spondylitis is the involvement of the sacroiliac joints. Mine has fused together since my 20s so natural birth for me is impossible.

So luckily I prefer c-section, so happy to have another. :)

Thank you so much for all your messages and well wishes. I went to hospital last night and was kept there till 4 this morning. They had me on a drip and pain meds and they just monitored me and said there's nothing they can do. I got home after 5 and the sac came out shortly after.
So I guess when this is all over then it's back to TTC. Good luck to all of you and hope you have healthy pregnancies.

@ Nicole, some people can be heartful without even knowing it, I hear you. I had a epidural (sad about that) and a natural birth, this time around I am going to try and go pain free... well hoping too but things can change so quickly. And you?

@ Belly, I also saw the little girl reading the book, too sweet. As soon as we found out I am pregnant with our little girl we had my toddler nephew walk around with a T-shirt saying I am going to be a big cousin. Haha my sister saw immediately but my mom never caught on as she was not wearing her glasses and was wondering what all the fuss was about... classic

@Jay-Bee01 thank you! I also saw a very cute photo of a girl sitting reading a book called 'How to be a big sister' I thought it was an adorable way to announce it, but as you say it's difficult to get them to play along sometimes! What about having her wear a shirt 'Big Sister' and just walking into the room of people you are announcing to?

@NicoleGrey that's horrible, especially if it's anybody close to you. You want people to be happy with you, of course! I've never heard of Ankylosing Spondylitis, what is that?

I had to have a c-section with my daughter, so will most probably have a c-section with second baby.

@Jay-bee: you are correct, it is simply that most women have a 14 day phase, but you are right it does differ from women to women and thus is best to document your cycle monthly. Clue is a brilliant app to use.

I've only told a FEW people closest to me. Many people are VERY opinionated as to WHEN you should be having children and I am SEVERELY criticised about my age. So I'm not really announcing it to anyone. Sad how people can be hey...?

@Melinda: Thinking of you!

@Aden: do you think visiting a chiro will work for my back during pregnancy? I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, so back pain on some days are bad & some days nothing.

Question: Who is opting for c-section & who for natural birth?

@ Belly, that is so cute! Love it. we have only told our parents and siblings and will tell the rest in a few weeks time. Not sure what to do as we want to include our little girl but she does not sit still for more than a few seconds :laugh:
