Hi Ladies, so just feeling bored at work and thought I'd pop in.
I am 17 weeks tomorrow! Yay. Haven't felt any real movements yet, imagined a few flutters and bubbles but not much. Feel my uterus tightening frequently etc.
Hubby is so stressed out at the moment and I am so scared of next week's appointment when he will find out genders. Just really praying very hard at the moment that all will go well.

@Carien - congrats on the exam result! :-)
My youngest is turning 4 soon and she is crazy about cats - so we'll have a Hello Kitty theme.

Anyways, hope you are all doing very well and enjoying your week.

Me: 31

DD1: 7yrs (our beautiful ballerina)
DD2: 3yrs (our little tornado! :-))

@Ceejay - welcome to our group, always nice to welcome new ladies. I am so very sorry for your loss, at 16 weeks one almost thinks that you are mostly out of the dark, but I think things are just as @Reese says, you will really only feel your little one is 'safe' when you hold them in your arms

@Sparkey - very cool to have been able to see your bean earlier! Generally these doc's move out the apt's before they move them forward, so very exciting!

AFM - did a pretty important exam at work today and got 96!! Very happy about that. Have my youngest son's 2nd birthday party tomorrow. My mother insists on getting the cakes for the grand kids done and I have to say the one she got this time is very cool. The theme is dinosaurs and the cake is of course a dinosaur cake and it looks so cool!

Hope everyone has a good weekend :)

Hi Ladies,

Happy Friday! Just a bit of an update from my side. My doctor had to reschedule with me as she has an urgent meeting with the hospital manager on Sunday. She managed to squeeze me in today. Hubby was able to make it too, which was great.

We saw our little baby, scan shows an age of 11w 6d, measuring at 4.62cm already. Doc didn't want to confirm if she suspects a boy or a girl, saying that regardless it is still a blessing. I will post pics of the scans a little later. Baby was having blast, kicking and bouncing around!

Hope everyone is doing well?

Thank you so much for the pep talk ladies. It makes it feel a bit better when you know someone else has once experienced what you’re going through.

Welcome Ceejay, I know how you feel, I am the same. I managed to see our little one at 8 weeks and that gave me some reassurance. Take it easy and dont be too hard on yourself. The stress is not good for you or baby in the end. :-)

Thank you ladies, I cant wait for Sunday to come. I am lucky, my doctor sees her patients on a Sunday one weekend in a month. It is convenient for me, not having to take time off from work. This will be the 12 week visit, and hopefully we will get to see the nub and have a good idea of what we are expecting. Hubby is very supportive and patient. I have been a tad bit moody lately...

Last weekend I had bad headaches and feeling dizzy, but this whole week I have been feeling great actually, and then boom! this morning I feel like a mess again. I feel so sick. Reese, I am also having the muscle pains in weird and wonderful places, you are not alone.
