Good morning ladies

Pokkeltjie I might go in tomorrow but we still waiting for the 10th as the initial date.

I am finishing work today and start my maternity leave...I am fortunate that I still sleep like a baby, thanks to my preggie pillow. Bag is ready and so is my mind.

@ First-time-mom - wow you are so close to your EDD! Glad to hear baby is growing so nicely

@ Gontse1 - glad to hear all went well with your scan and that your little one is growing so nicely

@ Nels_n - I have also been having a bit of a dull menstrual like pain on and off for the last few days....just hope it doesn't go over into labour pains as baba and I still have a few weeks to go! I feel your pain with the heat...we've had quite a few very hot days these last couple of weeks! Shame....your toddler probably knows that your baba will be making its appearance soon and maybe just needs that little bit extra attention and re-assurance....

@ Bea - so nice to hear from you and your boys are absolutely gorgeous! It is wonderful news and you must be over the moon to have them home with you!

@ Debbie - hope you are feeling better now. How did it go with your scan?

How is everyone else?

AF - I'm doing alright....the heat in Cape Town is getting the better of me and sleeping is an absolute nightmare! In between the heat, hip pains and being big and uncomfortable I struggle to breathe when sitting in a certain position or lying down. I think she is pushing against my lungs....I am feeling soooo tired! I am fishing up at work at the end of the month and then will be a stay at home mommy for a while - can't wait and counting the days. Just hoping I am going to make it through the month - already started having dull period like pains down there. She hasn't dropped much so not sure if I should start getting worried Can't wait to see our princess on the scan....been 5 weeks (feels so long)
Plan on packing the bags next weekend....

Hi everyone,

I have been struggling to log in I had to catch up a bit. Congrats Ana and Cuma with the babies I hope all is going well.

Not much this side been on leave since the 19th of December and going back this Friday. I have been alone most of the holiday and sleep a lot. I'm doing alright just want to push the last few weeks to M/leave.

My next gynie appointment is on the 13th of Jan.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year.

I suffered terribly with gastro eventually had to go to the ER on the 27th of Dec as we were travelling back from Dbn on the 28th , put me on a drip just to keep some fluids in , it has seemed to have setlled now , not nice at all

Bea , Anna and Cuma your Little ones are so cute - enjoy every moment

I am 33 weeks today so this LO has still got some growing to do , seeing the gynae tomorrow afternoon to have a check up excited to see LO again.

Bea oh how awesome. That is such great news to hear in the new year. they look big. love love the onsies. they are adorable. So glad to hear breastfeeding is going great. please keep us posted.

Gontse and First time mom still no bag packed lol. I don't know. I have been wobbling and trying to cope with this heat and water restrictions the only thing I have energy for is a cool spot to sleep on.

how are the rest of the mommies?

AFM: still no bag packed. Tired and moody thanks to this heat. today is 39+ degrees and humid and again water restrictions. Argh I'm not having a great day. The kids are the same. Hubby has to work all his extra hours so when baby arrives there is no extra work for him and he can be home with us.
I seem to have lost my appetite with the heat. I have no energy to cook anything also so my husband has to do the cooking when he gets home.
my toddler is not coping with the heat and not being able to play outside like he wants to.
next Dr visit is on the 9th then baby on the 17th I can't wait. I'm just too exhausted for anything my body feels like its shutting down.
My new years celebration were great. and yesterday we went to the park near the dam where we stay and it was beautiful and COOL. If only I could go back. How was your day ladies?
