Hi all!

How was your weekend?

I spend some time this weekend doing finishing touches on my baby room - so much fun! And went for a nice spa treatment :)

Baby is kicking up a storm these last couple of days it feel so weird lol but
is nice and reassuring  When I sit at my desk I keep jumping when he kicks hehe - he seems to be fond to kick me in the ribs which is rather uncomfortable
can't imagine how this is going to feel in a months’ time.

I can see my tummy jump when he kicks but daddy still says he can't feel anything so strange, can't wait for the day he also get to feel the special moment. Have any of your hubby's been able to feel them move?

Anyway not allot to tell just wanted to pop in and say HI!

Hi Liefie

We had a great weekend. Took my 2.5 year old son on the Gautrain for the first time and he loved it, can't stop talking about trains. I was also not to tired or uncomfortable this weekend, so it was great. Think I'm starting to notice those Braxton Hicks contractions, had quite a strong one yesterday!

My babies are also kicking like crazy. My husband started feeling them last week but he is just so impatient and always moves his hand just before they kick

I'm also loving those little kicks, it makes it feel much more real especially when they kick if you talk to them.

Also slowly starting to get things in the nursery ready and I'm planning to get all the other little things done in Sept so that I'm ready when I hit 28 weeks. If I look at the speed of my bump growing, I don't think I'll be able to do much after that anyway!!!

Hope you all have a pain free week filled with little kicks and nudges!!

Hi all, we also had a great weekend. So nice that we seem to be having amazing summer weekends with chilly winter weeks.

Lovely to hear about setting up of nurseries, we have been totally crazy and bought a house! Looks like we will be moving in in December and there will be a mad rush to get everything ready in time for the birth. So at the moment all the baby stuff is just being stored, so feeling very behind.

What cot did you end up choosing? Is anyone going to use a moses basket for the first couple of months?

Baby has been kicking like crazy but always low down, he isn't even close to my ribs yet. Hubby has felt it once while we were lying in bed, it was really special :)

Hi MrsJ

Congrats on the new house!! That is always exciting! Reminds me when we were expecting our son we moved beginning of Feb and he was born end of Feb. It was crazy but at least you get to give orders instead of doing all the hard work

We just used a normal crib, nothing fancy, with adjustable base and it worked well from birth till he was 2.5 years when we moved him to his bed. I personally don't think you need a moses basket except if you are gonna have him in your room and there is not a lot of space.

Good luck with getting everything ready!!

We also just got a standard wooden cot no moses basket or even cot carrier... I have also been thinking about it. But lots of mommy's have told me they don't use the Moses or Carrier Cot for that long.
