Good Morning all

Finally starting to feel human again today. MS got me and took me down on Monday/Tuesday, but I am taking Asic which seems to be working apart from the odd bit of nausea which comes and goes - again especially when I'm hungry.

How is everyone else doing?
Anthea: I actually have my next scan on the day of your Little ones birthday! :) cant wait! when other women are pregnant the time seems to fly by, but for me just getting from one appointment to the next seems to take forever! don't get me wrong, I am not wishing time away, I think I just want to get to the "safe" point so I can relax and enjoy it a lot more...right now work is the last place I want to be..it was so nice on Tues spending the day at home and sleeping as much as I wanted to - I also will have to go back to work after maternity leave. Does everyone get good maternity benefits where they work? mine not so great unfortunately.

Hope all the party planning goes well Anthea and hope everyone has a great day...almost Friday ;)

Hi All!!

How is everyone doing?

Excellent news Nadia - i am in the same boat it seems... havent had any MS for the past 3 days... Still a bit queasy at times but no MS and no constant need to eat... It does get worse at night though - which is how my MS was with my LG... So at least there's a pattern to it...

Unfortunately i have to go back to work after my leave - dont have the luxury of staying at home! Although i would love too... My boss is awesome - she is grooming my post into a half day job in the next couple of years, which is perfect for me as i would go insane being at home... i need that constant mental stimulation that i would crave if i was at home...

@ Laebella - i am so envious of your trip! Hope you enjoy it thoroughly! i am sure your enthusiasm will peak a bit closer to the time! I feel your pain on the tiredness!! It is so draining... Yesterday i went home early, fell asleep on the couch from 2 - 330, again from 5 - 630 (thank God for an awesome hubby who made supper and entertained our daughter) and then was in bed with my LG at 8 and asleep by 830... and i am still tired this morning!

When are the next scans coming up? We go again on the 12th of July...

on the 2nd of July my LG turns 2 and we planning a minnie mouse party for her for the 7th of July... For those in PTA you should check out C'est La Vie Party Venue - it is an awesome venue in Centurion for all ages! So busy with the little madam's party preps... So excited - she loves loves loves "mimmie mouse"!!!

Morning Ladies,
Jip, it sure is quiet in here...
Well feels like the MS is over, although i feel nauseas sometime, but the worst is over.

i do have the best boss (daddy in law) ever! I have such a sore throat, and i feel so tired. And because he also wants whats best for babies he let me stay at home yntil i feel better.

Are any of you going to stay at home after baby is born? or will you go back to work, after your maternity leave?

Hello everyone,

Sjoe it is quite around here.

PurplePoppie, so glad the scan went well.

Anthea08, all my sympathy with your ms. I am also experiecing ups and downs. I was very sick in the shower this morning. I am not taking anything for the MS but I am seriously contemplating asking for a script when I see the Dr next week. I do not want to stop with my multi-vitamine (which I take before I go to bed at night to try and avoid nausea) because I am seriously not eating healthy. Meat (including chicken and very much fish) and veggies gross me out at this point in time and all I can stand is any form of bread, pancakes, cake, cookies, muffins, porriage, some sweets and a little fruit from time to time. Sometimes when I throw up I feel better and sometimes I don't.

Snoekie, nice to hear from you. My weekend was not to bad. I went to bed early (22H00) on Saturday night with a house still full of quests but couldn't help it. The family that visited still don't know about my pregnancy but I am sure they are all speculating now. When I got up on Sunday morning my house was as clean as before the guests arrived. DH out-did himself. I was so suprised but so greatful.

AFM, we are leaving for our Namibia in just over a week and I have not started thinking about what to pack. I am so de-motivated and just want to lie on the couch when I am home. Having serious difficulty with being productive in any way..

To all the other ladies, good luck for the rest of the week... I wish I could go home and get into bed. I am so tired and had a hectic morning.

Hi ladies...

Just came back from a week at home...MS was very overwhelming last week so i decided to take a few days off to rest. Seems to me being relaxed at home in bed whole day, did wonders. Then this morning, things got a bit hectic...again. I puked all the way to work, almost didn't have a chance to breathe...
But on the other side, it seems like I'm getting some energy back :) which is really what I need at the moment.

I'm also staying away from my multivits for now...
I have tried EMEX suryp and it didnt work for the nausea, the doc also prescribed a few more tablets but those didnt work either. So for now I'm just trying to deal with it on my own. I'm am feeling much better though as I read that MS is usually at its peak between 8-10 weeks. Then it usually wears off which is a relief for me...lol

Anthea: I know exactly how it feels...all the ladies that doesn't experience MS should really count yourselves lucky!

I'm currently 11wks and so excited that my 1st trimester is almost over. (Hopefulle the MS also goes away then) I have lost a few kilos in the meantime but doctor said it's nothing to worry about.

Hope you all have a good day!

Hi there

Just quick feedback - i tried it just and feel much better already! Its rather yucky going at one's place of work - germs galore, but the relief is awesome hey!

Thanks for all the advice!!! :P

My gynae also advised that i stop with the multivitamins until the first trimester is over... He says they can make you feel worse. I honestly couldnt feel much of a difference...

@Cherikey - very lucky indeed!! All the best with full house! Its such fun having people visit!

Morning Ladies...

Yay Nadia, was 10 weeks yesterday... I can't wait i go for my 12 week scan next Tuesday even though i'll be 11 weeks as my gynae is away for 2 weeks thereafter...

Got my SIL arriving from Scotland tomorrow with her hubby & 4 kids... Gonna have a house full but should be fun. Only with us for a night so that's ok...

I must say, listening to you ladies i realise how lucky i am as i have little to no MS... only the odd yukky feeling but it goes pretty quickly... I was the same with my LG so unfortunately i can't commiserate with you ladies...

The last few days i have been feeling a lot more perkier... Not as down and tired as i have been!

Keep well all!
