Hello everyone! Does anyone have any info on what I can pack for snacks in my hospital bag for during labour? I've been told I can take jelly sweets and drinks like Powerade, but also to not only pack sweet things as I might not be in the mood for sweet things. I have no idea what else I can pack though

I read somewhere snacks like nuts, cereal bars, dried fruits etc. just to have variety of everything. Plus something for hubby - perhaps chips, chocs etc depending on what hubby likes to eat. Hope this helps :)

Hi

11 yrs when I gave birth to my daughter I don't remember eating anything. I was in so much pain I didn't even eat the breakfast the hospital offered me.
I don't now if things will be different. I will be giving birth naturally with no pain medication

Hi Ladies,

Personally I won’t pack any snacks but I would like to know what you ‘all packing and if it helped seeing I am only due in March.

I have spoken to many friends and my cousin who is a nurse and they all said that the drinks you pack in gets warm and you never really drink them. The hospital do provide juices and biscuits, tea and coffee etc.

licious - I am also going full natural without any medication, and I know myself when I am in pain I get so agitated and nauseous that water makes me puke.

I do however need advise - looking at the weather this year, what should I pack in short sleeve vests with long sleeve grows or should it all be long sleeve? I am clueless and frustrated cause I feel like I have failed already :S

i never packed snacks. and if i had, i would have not eaten it anyway.

i had 2 natural med-free births.
with my first i only drank water and hubby forced me to drink water regularly, i didn't want anything.
after the birth i was so obsessed with my little man that i didnt think about anything. only had breakfast the next morning.

with my 2nd there was not time. had a very short labour and almost did not make it to the delivery room.
after his birth i did crave sweet things for about 2 weeks. hubby bought me some snackies as i wanted it

maybe pack a variety of sweet and savory snacks, as you wil have no idea what you are going to want when you are there
