I finally got around to reading the blog....and while I think the parents' goal was noble (doing a drug free birth is AWESOME, I'm just too much of a wimp to do it myself) the way they went about it doesn't sit right with me.
The whole birth sounds very 'Orchestrated', like it was just too too planned (if that's even possible?). I was always under the impression that a home birth was meant to be intimate and special. The couple in the blog had a whole team! Was it necessary for two midwives? And the check by the OBGYN as well?
It's almost as if they needed every specialist possible to be present. I do think the cranial sacral body work was over the top too. And the eastern belly binding? Really now.
I've seen more unusual birth stories on TLC, this just looks like a couple with too much money who are trying too hard to be natural.
