There is no reason that a gynae will not do a shirodkar stitch just because you are a new patient. It is their medical duty to do so for the safety of the baby.

can anyone recommend a good gynae within the Discovery's network of gynecologists in jhb south, preferably the doctor who will be able to treat my existing condition of incompetent cervix. my previous gynae told me that shirodkar stitches needs to be inserted to tighten the cervix. my fear is that doctors might don't wanna perform it as i'll be new to them. i don't wanna go back to my previous doctor, due to my personal dissatisfaction i had with him previously.
