I actually wanted to start a thread asking this same question, when I came across this one.
My daughter came home yesterday afternoon badly shaken up and said that a girl caught her in the toilet in aftercare and started choking her until she thought she would not be able to breathe and said to me that she thought she was going to die.....and had scratches on her hand from the nails of the little girl who had done that to her.
Similarly EP, my daughter is extremely meek and quiet, a top achiever AND new to this school and has made very little friends in the few months she has been there. I wrote a letter to the teacher asking her to investigate because my child hasnt been bullied before and I really did not know what to do. I did telephone the principal today but she wasnt available. I am waiting for the teacher to respond to my letter by tomorrow, failing which I will go to the principal directly. I am just following due process.
What baffles me is that this is a 10 year old girl!! I cant believe it is starting from this age! Fortunately my daughter wasnt too scared this morning but I am praying that nothing further happens today.
This should be dealt with soon so that nothing will happen to your kid. Have you tried talking to the parent of the bully and explain the thinks that has been happening. Or have the school solve it fast. Since I
that this bullying could lead to adult aggression thus it must be dealt fast. If the parents won't do anything to help their child then let the school provide countermeasures from anything happening again.
