Q: My baby is seven months old turning 8. How can I teach her how to latch a bottle because she's breastfeeding and I want go back to school next year.
Sister HettieHi Mommy well done for breastfeeding for so long .I wont teach her to take a bottle if she don't want it I would rather feed her with a cup or a glass .By giving her a bottle you need to take that away .some time From 8 to 9 months they can easily drink from a normal glass or with a straw Good luck with this new milestone you are the best.
Q: Thank you so much. She does feed from a cup. She was fast to learn that at about 4 months, but I still want to breastfeed till she's at least two years old.
Sister Hettie: Good for you then she don't need the bottle she can take the cup while you are at school and your breast when she is at home .That will also prevent her from getting flow confusion between the breast and the bottle.
Hi! As a mom, i'm so proud of you that you survive breastfeeding for almost 8 months. But just a piece of advice, don't stop breastfeeding by this time, your baby still need your milk. We can't force our child to latch a bottle. Because if they already want it, they will on their own.
