Panorama analyses the baby's (placental) DNA through a simple blood draw from the mother’s arm.
Panorama results can help put your mind at ease or help you prepare for a baby with a genetic disorder. Panorama is not diagnostic. Test results will only indicate whether you have an increased risk of carrying a baby with certain chromosome conditions. Invasive diagnostic testing is necessary to confirm whether your baby actually has one of these conditions.
As early as nine weeks into pregnancy, Panorama can reveal your baby’s risk for Down syndrome and other common genetic disorders. You can also choose to learn your baby’s gender. Most results will be returned to your doctor within 7 – 10 working days.
