Hi ladies!

@Liza - I still have 1-2 cups a day and I dont think I will go less than that, I think they generally recommend no more than 2 which means 1-2 should be okay. I know you don't like rooibos but perhaps try it with a little honey?

@LadySA - You are not delusional, its totally normal to have hopes like that! Every now and then I imagine going for a scan and the Dr telling me I am already preg! We have to hope.... Good luck with the injections!!! I have no idea yet what meds we will be using. Enjoy the smoothies!

@Leez - How lucky to not have any side effects!!! Grow babies grow!!

AFM, think my body is having a natural progesterone surge at the moment on top of my Visanne so my boobies are soooo sore! Interested to see what the hormones will do to me as I have been on progesterone for the last year which has been pretty interesting to say the least! At the moment I am going through an angry phase... just angry for no reason  atleast DH makes light of it and makes me laugh, he knows just how to handle me!!!!

20 sleeps to our first app!!!!

Morning ladies!

How are you all feeling today?

@ Ladysa - did you have you 1st scan and when do you start the injections? I hope all went well and that you've been able to start this exciting (yet scary) journey!

@Liza - Prof also advised I could have a cup or two of coffee each day if I had to, so I don't think drinking your early morning cup should make much difference. Have you tried decaff instead? Must say the rooibos is getting to me too now, so will have to start looking at alternatives :pinch:

@Chanti - it's great that you have such a supporting hubby who understands the moods! I think it's hard on them too cause they're walking on eggshells! But it's all part of the process.

My body feels a bit tired today, the areas where I've been injecting this week are getting tender and had slight cramp type pain in my abdomen area when I woke up this morning, but other than that...full steam ahead! 5 sleeps till my next scan to see how my body reacted to the injections and how the growth is going :)

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
x

@Leez - How many injections are you having to take each day? I hope it doesn't get too sore over the next few days :(

@Ladysa - Any news?

@Liza - Have you managed to find your alternative yet?

AFM, still riding this emotional roller coaster, hating it... Have no idea what is going on with me.. Would love to go home, grab a bowl of popcorn and sit and watch movies all day!

Morning Ladies

Trust you all are well!

@ Chanti I wanted to stop at Dischem yesterday but was way to tired! We close @ 12 on Fridays so i'll see if i can get there this afternoon. My inlaws are visiting from Bloem , they came last night. Good way to pass the time!

I managed to have only one cup of coffee today. Now on the water!

I'm wondering, so i was told to phone the clinic on CD1 so that we can see the FS on CD2 and get our meds. Then we would start on CD3. But as i read here it seems that you all got your meds before hand?

@ Liza - No, the way you were explained is 100% correct and how I got mine as well. Call the clinic once I'd started, had my scan on the 2nd day & was then given my meds to start injecting on day 3. Well done with your 1 coffee!!

@Chanti - I'm doing two injections daily at the moment, one in my tummy around my belly button and the second one in my buttocks (cause it has to go into the muscle). Trying to move the needle around a bit that I don't keep hitting the same spots!

Hi Ladies

Hope you all had a good weekend!

@ Leez how are you doing on the meds? Have you noticed any difference in effects? The scan that you went for on CD2 was it internal? Just freaks me out seeing that you are on your period that time .
You mentioned in one of your previous post that you have a first batch of injections before the first scan, do we get a second batch as well? Sorry, i'm not very on top of this.

So i found an alternative to coffee, Rooibos Peach Ice Tea pods. So great!! I still have my one cup a day and water but later in the afternoon i'll have a cup of Rooibos. (Not as bad as i thought)

For me its 7 days and counting today ... I'm a bit anxious and exited all at once. Think its only the injections that i'm a bit squirmy about. Hope that AF arrives on time so we can start our journey,

Hi all!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

@Liza - Feeling very different at the moment. Very bloated and have lower back pain (almost where my kidneys are) but I've read this could be due to the growth of the ovaries. Will know more when I see him on Wednesday to ask... Oh and a few cramps this morning but I'm getting used to the feeling. I'm still very positive and trying to do my 30min walk every morning, must say the walk does me the world of good!

The scan was external don't worry! I was worried about the same thing but it's basically just to make sure all is well and that no cycts or stuff have appeared in the interim as the hormones can cause them to grow drastically! I got the 1st batch of injections on the same day as my CD2 scan, cause you start injecting on day 3, and will probably get the next batch on Wednesday when I see him again. I don't know if each clinic is different but this is how ours works!

So glad you have an alternative to the coffee. I bought some decaf over the weekend cause I had a coffee craving and read the decaf is fine. Other than that I'm coping well. Must say I'm struggling to find an alternative to drink otherwise. I'm a dry wine drinker when we socialise and cool-drink is very sweet. So I'm down to just water but still looking for an alternative :)

@Ladysa - how are you doing? Did you start the injections? Been thinking of you a lot!
