I am having real problems with eating. I can't think of food, especially in the mornings. My mom suggested Mannatech's meal replacement shakes since I don't have any problem with drinking fluids. I was thinking it has all these nutrients and vitamins which I need and baby needs, and it is better than not getting any nutrition in whatsoever.
My question is - is this safe? Or should I rather not?
First pregnancy: MC + D&C blighted ovum at 10 weeks - 20 July 2014
Second pregnancy: spontaneous MC 27 September 2014
Third pregnancy: Son born 21 Sept 2015 - healthy, happy and huge 3.46kg 52cm
I dont see a problem with replacing a meal with a shake, just as long as you get all the nutrients you and baby need. I got my mom2b shake samples a few weeks ago. they do taste great and is specially formulated for pregnant and lactating mommies, so they kept the nausea factor in mind.
In the beginning of this pregnancy i too struggled to eat, and still do im 23w3d.
I just saw my gynae on Friday. I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant and she was a bit concerned that I'm not picking up enough weight. Im still on the safe side, but she said that if I wanted to, I should drink a shake during the day, instead of say lunch. If I remember correctly the shake she suggested is Mum2Be, a protein shake. I will just check on my note again.
Im really considering using it as Im finding it hard to decide on something to eat during the day, especially since I'm not really feeling like having a lot of meat at the moment.
