I use Fancypants and really love them. And when there was a batch that was faulty after a year of use, they still replaced them free of charge (9 nappies). That is good service...

Hi Nadia

I used bamboo nappies and liked them, will be looking at other options though for my newborn due in March as the bamboo will be big for him.
Go to the fb pages the lagogies stated as they are very good and have tons of info and alot of options.

I have used cloth nappies from day one for all 3 my kids (oldest is 5 years now.)
So ask away! What do you need to know?
I am also on the facebook group that the other ladies referenced.

In the beginning, there wasn't much available in SA, but now there are many different brands. If you are like me and like a pretty nappy but don't want to spend millions, I use Alva nappies which I buy directly from their site www.alvababy.com they are a chinese brand and I find they work very well. I use bamboo inserts paired with microfiber inserts (so you have to make or buy extra inserts as the nappies only come with one kind of insert.)

If you are in Pretoria, and want to see some different kinds of nappies, contact me, you are welcome to come and have a look at what I have. I have a few different kinds that I have collected over the years.

I heard that Snugglybums is the Alva brand, but renamed for South African sales? This is their site: www.snugglybum.co.za/
Also visit the hippie safari website for reviews..but this is old so their are many other nappies available as well now: hippiesafari.blogspot.com/p/cloth-diaper...au_=iVV5s15sHrMRD0Vq

Have fun researching! I am also getting into it now. Only have one fancy pants and I want to buy one snugglybums and one mother nature and try those before a buy a stash of them. :)

so glad you decided to go cloth :woohoo:
i did cloth since baby was 3 weeks old and he started fitting into my nappies.
i have about 6 different brands and types and love them all

i would suggest to not buy a whole lot on 1 brand. it is soooo nice to have different brands.
also look at this website: www.doodlebums.co.za
there you can see all the brands locally available
there are loads of information and articles

feel free to ask anything and enjoy researching cloth
