Hi,

I just want to say that my view is that people should be respecting moms who have tantrum incidents with their kids. A toddler throws a tantrum (in a restaurant or more often in a shop) because he wants something that he can't have. His mom is doing her best to teach him that no means no, which often results in the good 'ol tantrum. We should be applauding moms who stand their ground, their children will be better for it one day.

Where a younger child/baby is concerned, people must just deal with it. They get frustrated because they don't have a vocabulary to express themselves.

You are so right Natasha, i wasn't prepared to stand there and let him call me a bad mother and curse that i should never have another kid. he took total advantage because he saw there wasn't any men at our table.

I threw a glass of water on his ugly mug for saying that to me.

he even went as far as to insist on my ID number to 'charge me'.hehehe....i gladly gave him my hubby's phone number, who would have put a fist to his face. this rude man felt he was so right, to the extent that he did call my hubby and said that i deliberately ignored the other patrons in the restaurant and also the managers request for me to control my kid. So hubby requested to meet with him that evening, when the time came, he didn't answer his phone.

To be honest, my kid screamed twice, now tell me, how bad is that...

"Water off a duck's back" - don't stress about it!

My LG once had a little screaming tantrum in the Woolworths queue... and the lady behind me was huffing and puffing and getting all irritated... and I turned around to give her a mouthful and she put me in my place saying she has never had kids and hasn't been through it so shut it!

And I just calmly turned around and did just that: I shut it.

However once in Wimpy both girls were being loud and boisterous as kids are... this lady and her daughter complained and actually went to sit elsewhere... on my way out we were both paying at the till and I loudly told my eldest daughter about this nasty lady who doesn't remember what its like to have little kids... and one day she will be a grandmother and this will happen to her too... and she must remember this day! her own daughter was so embarrassed by her mother HAHAHA!

Good for you for throwing that glass of water on him

I personally think he had a bad day and had to take it out on someone, unfortunately he saw you as the target.
But that does not give him the right to last out on you, he should sort his problems out before going out in public and targeting anyone.....
And shame babies cry all the time you cant limit them they so clueless of their surroundings.
He is just an ass......lol
