Thanks Charnenay, I'm not really bothered by karma, so it doesn't phase me much.

I agree for the pretty bridesmaid, don't don't don't.

Facebook invites, really? Never! But I can add to that that having a website where you should RSVP and having that as your only RSVP list, is also not a good idea. People just don't read the invites with as much attention as you want them to, they see the web address on the invite, but never really have time to go check it out. So then you end up thinking that no one is coming to your wedding, mean time people are just a bit to busy with real life to go ooh and aah over your fairytale in the making.

Do not ask your best friend with the size 8 figure and obscenely pretty face to be your bridesmaid when you are a size 20 with a less than pretty face. No-one is going to be looking at you!! Sad, but true - I've seen it!

Do not send out facebook wedding invites - yip, for real.

Do not be late for your own wedding.

You planned the day, you booked everything, there really is NO REASON why you should arrive late - short of a death or an amputation.

Really it is annoying and there is nothing "fashionable" about being late to your own damn wedding. Get yourself sorted and get there on time.

Guests have been sitting around for ages and waiting for the bride without drinks or foods, often on hard uncomfortable seats is really not fun.

Get your sh*t together - really! You are the bride not the damn Queen!

Oh, this is FUNNY!!!!

Do not have like 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen! Make a decision who is really important, you can have the whole world up there with you, people loose you (the bride) in the small flock of people.

RM - I agree, not cool to be late. But I was 20min late for my own wedding, not because I couldn't time manage, but because my dad, who was my ride and obviously had to walk me down the aisle, was late. I nearly had 3 heart attacks in the time I waited for him to pick me up - I thought he decided that I can't get married

Stop with the really LAME songs... "Hy lyk vir my so baie na tant koeks..." and "How the hell can we believe him.." Figure something else out, make it original and fun if you have to.

For the guests - read the freakin invitation, and if it says cash bar, or no gifts, do it like that. It is the couple's day. And please couple, at least make sure there is enough juice/water that is free.

I will try and think of more, I know there is quite a couple...

Guests - do not steal things off the table!!

What the hell is wrong with you?

If there is something that you think might be a gift, then politely ask, usually the best man is a good go-to-guy - do not assume the sh*t is yours and start packing it into your bag, or on a paper plate with a serviette covering it.

Seriously!! Stop for take aways on the way home if you think you might need food later.

Bestman - this is a wedding not a 21st, tell suitable jokes and try not to bring up sexual exploits of the bridegroom (or worse the bride!) - what the hell?

Bridegroom - choose your bestman because he is a good speaker and organiser, not because he is your mate and you once shared a girlfriend back in 1985!!!

Do not let your guests wait 2 hours while you and hubby take photo's after the ceremony. Half an hour is acceptable in my opinion for your guests to sip on some sherry and snax, but more than that is really rude in my opinion.
