Ok, with my google search for more appropriate movies/programs for my LO I found this really great website, it rates the movies for children with an indication of age appropriateness (not the official PG rating!). It also give details of any violence or content that might be relevant.

It really is of great help. Check it out

www.commonsensemedia.org/reviews?media_t...28&recommended_age=2

Click on the movie to read the full review, and on the left select the age group you are interested in. Really handy stuff.

very handy website - thanks GW!!

Em doesn't get much tv time, but for now she is limited to 30 minutes of Cbeebies in the morning where she watches "Baby Jake" and "Dirt Girl World". And she has 4 Barney DVD's which she can choose from and watch for 30 minutes when she wakes from her afternoon nap. She sits infront of Cbeebies in the morning, but in the afternoons, she is to active so she continues to play while it is on in the background for 30 minutes.
